Due to continued growth across the UK our Franchisees are looking to recruit motivated and driven team members to join the Subway brand.About The RoleThe Assistant Manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store as the deputy to the Store Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for serving customers, following health and safety procedures and keeping the store clean. You will assist in the development and training of Sandwich Artists and ensuring customer satisfaction and team productivity.The Assistant Manager is responsible for demonstrating the principles in accordance with the franchise company and the Subway brand.This role assists the Store Manager by creating and maintaining the Subway experience for our customers and partners.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeadershipManaging with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture, values and missionProviding coaching and guidance to the store team towards ensuring operational goals are achievedManaging Operations & Measuring ResultsCommunicating clearly, concisely, accurately and professionally at all timesConstantly monitoring and managing store staffing levels to ensure sales are driven forward and maximized, and to ensure partner development and talentMaintaining efficient ordering methods to ensure availability of required menu items and a proper balance of goods in inventoryRegularly inspecting equipment and fixtures, inside and outside the store to ensure they are in proper working order and good conditionExecuting functional responsibilitiesUtilizing management information tools and analyzing paperwork as requested to identify and address trends and issues in store performanceUsing all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the storeResponsible for adherence to Subway brand compliance standards with focus on standards relating to food safetyTeam Member Development/Team BuildingProviding staff with coaching, feedback and development opportunities to build effective teams by:Challenging and inspiring staff members to achieve business resultsEnsuring staff members adhere to all established Subway operational standardsDeveloping and maintaining positive relationships with the store teamUtilizing and demonstrating effective management policies and proceduresDutiesMaintaining business records as outlined in the Operations Manual and analyzing business records to manage the businessCommunicating changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staffSupporting local and national marketing initiativesEnsuring that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained, and that company safety and security policies are followedRecruiting new staff membersRecognition and reward of staff performanceDisciplinary action as requiredIdentifying and contacting prospective customers to promote salesPlanning events and promotionsPlease be aware that stores are independent franchises.
