Assistant Manager I – Dollar Tree Stores Join our team as an Assistant Manager I and help drive store operations, customer service and associate development. Responsibilities Assist with day‑to‑day store functions and activity coordination. Provide positive, approachable customer assistance and address any inquiries. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey requests and related communications. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays. Assist with merchandise ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts) and loss prevention. Maintain well‑stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards. Protect and secure all company assets and store cash. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow company policies and procedures. Help the Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates. Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment while interacting professionally with customers, associates and leaders. Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathroom cleaning, floor sweeping/mopping, trash removal and overall presentation. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives required. Store management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environment preferred. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, repetitive lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required. Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment required. Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills required. Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills required.
