Business Development Manager – Electrical Sector – Cheshire Salary: GBP 40K – 50K, depending on experience, with OTE bonuses, car, pension, health & life insurance benefits. Join a market‑leading, progressive company in the Electrical Industry as a Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will receive a good basic salary, company car and pension, along with participation in a bonus scheme and significant health and life insurance benefits. To be successful, you will need sales experience in the industrial electrical marketplace with some technical ability and product knowledge strength in an area, ideally complemented by an electrical qualification. Working remotely from a home base you will plan your diary and customer visits within your defined territory. Your role will involve identifying opportunities to promote and sell a full range of electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions across a wide range of industries. You will have access to an extensive range of supplier products and brands, a comprehensive customer database, marketing support, and full technical support with ongoing product and technical training. Candidates must be located in Liverpool, Warrington, Stoke‑on‑Trent, Chester, or Crewe (but other candidates with good access to the territory may be considered). Key Responsibilities Identify opportunities to promote and sell electrical and automation solutions. Engage with decision‑makers to develop relationships and grow business. Plan and execute customer visits within the assigned territory. Utilise the customer database and marketing support to generate leads. Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to achieve territorial targets. Required Attributes & Experience Demonstrable sales career history and success. Excellent time‑management, organisation, and communication skills (verbal and written). Self‑motivated, driven, “can‑do” attitude. Commercial and technical ability. Familiarity with Industrial Electrical/Control and Automation (ideally). Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Customer‑focused mindset. Full UK driving licence.
