Reception Administrator The closing date is 22 December 2025 The outpatient receptionist is an integral part of the team at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. We are looking for someone who is proficient, organized, has good time keeping and excellent people and communication skills. They are required to provide a comprehensive service to patients and perform clerical duties to a high standard. A key part of the role will be to work alongside our MDT to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. These tasks include (but are not limited to): Communicating regularly with patients’ relatives and loved ones to provide updates as a point of liaison, facilitating the attendance of patients, updating the Hive system, answering and responding to phone calls in a professional and timely manner. To operate within clearly defined limits of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines within the department and when necessary improve good working practice. Person Specification Qualifications GCSE level 4 or above or equivalent requirement NVQ Level 2 in a related subject e.g. healthcare administration PAS training Experience Previous experience within an Administrative or Clerical role Experience of working in a team environment Knowledge/Skills Able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing Good basis numeracy and literacy skills Ability to work in a busy, high‑pressure environment Daily, continuous use of a computer Evidence of liaising with more than one discipline Knowledge of hospital environments/routines Knowledge of requirements of patients Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offences Act (Exception Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
