About the Role Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the successful General Operative will be ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently; maintaining a high-quality service at all times in line with company standards, procedures and customer requirements. What you’ll be doing Managing machinery, vehicles and personnel; ensuring you are properly informed and equipped to carry out tasks. Complying with all safety requirements, company standards and procedures for employees and sub-contractors. Carrying out site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency. Understanding how contract performance can be influenced and delivering a quality service. Attending and contributing in discussions to ensure you are updated with key company information. Being prepared for changes and having a flexible approach. We are looking for a General Operative who ideally has: CSCS Qualification MPQC Competency Card Knowledge of planning machine capabilities and the ability to contribute to the operation. Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures. Good communication skills. Flexibility and willingness to work as a team. Why Tarmac? You’ll join a collaborative, innovative team.
