VSA is seeking an experienced Interim Care Home Manager (Fixed Term 6 months) to provide exceptional leadership and operational oversight within one of our care homes. As Interim Home Manager, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets VSA's standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Maintain robust systems for communication, reporting and record-keeping to support decision‑making and compliance. Foster a culture of respect, inclusion and empowerment for residents and staff. Promote independence and social engagement among service users. Ensure safe practices through effective risk management and medication procedures. Lead the development and review of personalised care plans. Manage staffing levels, recruitment and team development to ensure continuity of care. Monitor performance, provide supervision and address challenges constructively. Oversee financial resources and contribute to budgetary planning. Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and uphold best practice. Support staff and residents through significant life changes with sensitivity. Commit to continuous learning and professional development. Experience & Qualifications Essential NMC Registered Nurse with a valid PIN. Proven experience managing in a care home or supported housing setting. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of care legislation, National Care Standards and Care Inspectorate procedures. Ability to write reports, manage teams and use IT systems effectively. Desirable Experience managing budgets and contributing to policy development. Skilled in handling performance and disciplinary matters. Well‑developed decision‑making and organisational skills. Qualities Approachable, flexible and non‑judgemental.
