Join to apply for the Caretaker role at Hall Park Academy Actual salary: £6,931.87 – £7,350.15 per annum (FTE: £24,654.16 – £26,141.85). 12 hours per week – Permanent, term time + 1 week. Required to start January 2026. Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Caretaker to join our busy academy facilities team – a diligent site operative with the skills to liaise and work alongside the Premises Manager, cleaner, other staff and external agencies. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who make it their mission to ensure every day counts for the children. Each of our individual roles has an impact on the future of our children and so, we put them at the heart of the decisions we make and the services we provide. Responsibilities Maintain and safeguard the academy’s facilities to support learning and development. Liaise and collaborate with the Premises Manager, cleaning staff and external agencies. Respond to maintenance requests and carry out routine upkeep tasks. Support the academy in continuing to achieve its objectives. Qualifications & Skills Enthusiastic, proactive and engaging with strong organisational abilities. Experience in a similar site role is advantageous. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safeguarding and the ability to undertake enhanced DBS and child‑barred list checks. Benefits Access to Local Government Pension Scheme.
