Our primary focus lies in developing new build and conversion residential and industrial projects and managing a diverse portfolio covering every asset class, which includes around 7,500 residential plots and commercial/industrial assets exceeding £2 billion in value. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's physical facilities. Ensure the smooth operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems. Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and guest rooms. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff, ensuring minimal disruption. Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; order parts and materials as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and fire codes. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair or upgrade projects. Monitor and control energy usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Maintain documentation including maintenance logs, equipment manuals, and inspection records. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or manager, preferably in a hotel or commercial facility. Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lead and motivate a small team. Familiarity with building codes, fire and life safety regulations. Availability to work on-call shifts, weekends, or holidays when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or engineering diploma preferred. Working knowledge of maintenance software (e.g., CMMS) and hotel PMS systems (a plus). Preferred Experience 3-5 years in hotel engineering or maintenance management. Experience in a property of similar size (50-150 rooms). Knowledge of hotel brand standards and facility audit compliance (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, IHG, etc.).
