Estimator Opportunity – Hertfordshire Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits Location: Hertfordshire The Company A highly respected main contractor with a turnover of over £100m, delivering projects primarily in the education sector, as well as healthcare, valued between £500k and £20m. The Role: Estimator As an Estimator, you’ll join a preconstruction team of nine, working on projects ranging from £250k to £20m. You’ll take the lead in the tender process, from meetings and adjudications to subcontractor liaison and value engineering proposals. Experience with two-stage tenders is beneficial but not essential. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions Review drawings, specifications, and compliance requirements Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing Attend tender meetings and contribute to value engineering proposals Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submissions The Right Person Experienced Estimator within the construction industry Background with a main contractor on new build or refurbishment schemes Confident presenting value proposals Self-directed, highly motivated, and looking for a long-term move Why Join Them?
