The projects primarily revolve around refurbishment, fit-out, and cut & carve initiatives.This seasoned contractor showcases an impressive annual turnover surpassing £50 million. Their track record speaks volumes as they consistently handle top-tier projects ranging from £1 million to £20 million. With a wealth of experience and a solid reputation, they excel in delivering exceptional outcomes throughout the construction and renovation processes.The RoleOur client is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team in Hertfordshire.As the Senior Estimator, you will be expected to lead the tender process and work independently.You will be working across commercial offices, healthcare, retail, and hospitality schemes.Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:·Assess new tenders, checking for completeness and accuracy of information supplied·Marking up supplier and subcontractor enquiries to enable competitive quotations to be obtained·Measure or schedule materials quantities for enquiry send-outs·Prepare take-offs in line with SMM7 & NRM·Use Blue beam and CAD-Measure to take off quantities from drawings·Build up analytical unit rates and lump sum prices·Scheduling and comparisons of subcontractor and supplier quotes, including adjusting allowances for exclusions, clarifications, etc, to compare on a like-for-like basis·Produce a full set of Preliminaries for the project in questionThe right personYou will be an experienced Estimator who is used to tendering for projects from £2.5m-£20mYou will have worked on Cut & Carve, New Build, & Refurbishment schemes.Please apply online or contact Sally Whittingham directly to apply.
