About the Role: Days of Working: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 18:30, Saturday remand – 08:00 to 14:00. As a Security Officer in the Courts and Tribunal System, you will ensure the safety and security of the courts while delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users. Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x‑ray machines, and conduct security checks using hand‑held metal detectors and bag searches on arrival. Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, maintaining contact with the control room via hand‑held radios. Respond to panic alarm buttons in Judges' rooms, courts, and offices. Respond to any security issues within the complex, and record and report details of incidents. Qualifications Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance (to be completed for successful candidates). SIA licence and relevant security‑related experience. Strong people and customer‑service skills. Good diligence and a high standard of work. Effective communication skills. Attendance allowance of £1 per hour can be earned on contracted hours, subject to meeting certain attendance‑related criteria.
