Night Support Worker – Join Our Growing Team in Winsford We Change Lives is expanding its 3L services in Winsford and needs compassionate, motivated support workers to deliver high‑quality, personalised care to adults with learning disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury. This role offers a 36‑hour week, a pay rate of £12.61 per hour, and a welcoming environment at Chapel House and Crook. About the Services Chapel House – 10 personalised bedrooms, a spacious lounge, 5 accessible bathrooms, a private garden & sensory room, home‑cooked meals, on‑site laundry, 24/7 nursing care for adults with acquired brain injury. Crook – 6 beds, a spacious lounge & dining area, fully wheelchair‑accessible entrance, 6 customisable bedrooms, private garden with summer house, nutritious home‑cooked meals, on‑site laundry. Participate in supervision, observation and appraisal. Provide effective communication including accurate written reports. Follow WCL financial procedures and sustainability principles. Maintain a caring environment aligned with best practice, guidance and legislation. Contribute to clear communication with all stakeholders. Deliver high‑quality care in line with support plans (personal care, medication, activities etc.). Seek and share preferences of the people you support. Promote high satisfaction among people, families, colleagues and commissioners. Support the Service Manager with complaints and concerns. Maintain positive relationships with families, community and external partners. Implement safeguarding procedures. Complete Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Mental Capacity Act training; recognise and report safeguarding concerns. Take reasonable care of own and others’ health and safety; cooperate with employer; avoid misuse of equipment; support safe environment. Respect confidentiality in line with Data Protection Act 2018 and ISO27001; share information only with authorised people and for authorised purposes. Qualifications & Experience Desirable: Recognised health or social care qualification. Essential: Evidence of a desire to develop professionally; willingness and ability to learn. Desirable: Experience supporting people with disabilities, older people, dementia or mental health needs; experience working in a team. Technical Skills Essential: Basic numerical data handling, Microsoft Office Word & Outlook. Desirable: Ability to use WCL transport or own transport when required. Personal Qualities Essential: Understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults; ability to recognise concerns. Essential: Work positively and flexibly as part of a team, positive values relating to disability, older people, dementia and mental health. Essential: Understanding of WCL key statements; ability to demonstrate them. Essential: Provide high‑quality support to people with learning disabilities, dementia and mental health needs. Essential: Good verbal and written communication skills; listening sensitively; strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
