Reference number: 200-7496123-GO-LP. Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a SACT giver to join our Trevor Howell Day Unit team. To provide leadership to a team administering Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapies and supportive treatments for day‑case oncology and lymphoma patients. In this role you will be a professional role‑model, leading and coordinating the nursing team, safely coordinating the unit and ensuring that there are education and training opportunities for all staff. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the nursing team providing SACT and supportive therapies to patients with solid tumours and malignant haematological conditions. Ensure high standards of care, meeting Trust values, while working autonomously and as part of a cohesive team. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for this patient group. Work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands. Develop leadership skills and demonstrate ability to manage staff and resources. Person Specification Essential Registered Nurse (Adult). Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy qualification. Minimum of two years post‑registration experience, at least one year within the speciality. Ability to identify stress in self and others and take effective action. Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment. Cannulation and venepuncture; Management of central venous access devices. Evidence of leadership roles and skills. Ability to prioritise own workload and that of other staff. Excellent communication skills. Desirable Proof of study at level 6/7 or willingness to undertake level 6/7 study. Attended a clinical leadership programme. Evidence of implementing a change into practice. Teaching and mentoring experience. Evidence of audit or research project. Other Requirements Disclosure and Barring Service Check – subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. UK registration required.
