Asbestos Analyst – Reading

Our client is a professional and growing asbestos consultancy who delivers the full range of asbestos services to long‑standing clients. They are currently recruiting for a P403/4 qualified Asbestos Analyst based in and around the Reading area. The successful candidate must hold the P403/4 qualifications and will hold experience undertaking a range of analytical duties. Applications from Slough, Aylesbury, Watford, and the surrounding areas will be considered. Qualifications & Experience Will have attained the P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualifications. Will be able to undertake fibre counting within a mobile or static lab. Confident in undertaking a wide range of asbestos air monitoring duties to a mixed portfolio of sites. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Will be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos. Role Will Encompass Carry out asbestos 4 stage clearance, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re‑occupation and personal air testing. Oversee contractors on site and ensuring that they adhere with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos. Carrying out site audits. Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients. Producing comprehensive reports as and when required. The successful candidate will be of smart disposition, will be flexible, have good work ethic and at the same time have the ability to multi‑task, work independently and carry out the work effectively and within timeline.
