The Role Role Responsibilities You will deliver a customer-focused IT service underpinned by a robust, monitored, well-managed, and flexible IT systems and infrastructure. Manage day-to-day operations, administration, configuration, and health of the technical infrastructure, associated applications, and IT assets across all KP Law locations. Provide technical assistance on projects and advise on and implement technical specifications. Support the IT service desk function, customer meetings, self-help, and IT training, backed up by technical knowledge aligned to KP Law’s growth and expectations. Contribute to systems management, including cyclical maintenance, planned work, and replacement programmes, factoring in change control, customer focus, effective communication, testing, and risk management. Promote good practice, documentation, processes, procedures, and proactive monitoring in all IT technical operations. Participate in the incident response and work with the IT leadership to control and mitigate risks around cyber security, data loss, and cyber-attack. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administration of KP Law’s systems, including but not limited to network, virtual environment, digital telephony, Windows servers, and cloud environments. Ensure good domain hygiene by administering/configuring core systems, including the domain, user and service accounts, network (LAN and WAN), underlying infrastructure, and cloud systems (e.g., IP management, DNS, Microsoft365, Azure). Ensure group systems, core infrastructure, voice, data, and cloud applications are fully supported, within support versions and healthy. Conduct system monitoring, maintenance, patching, upgrade schedules. Track end-of-life dates for versions and hardware. Document all IT assets for renewal program, support and compliance. Maintain a proactive alerting system and help manage the configuration and frequency of alerts. Assist in the administration of software licensing and compliance across the firm. Ensure only authorised software is in use and IT assets are locked down to allow only approved software. Support technical projects, upgrades, and implementations. Collaborate with business systems team and developers. Ensure IT documentation is up to date and communication to the customer is timely and accurate. Support the ongoing management and delivery of the firm’s Cyber Security Framework. Support the implementation of controls to ensure the group achieves and exceeds continuous cyber security accreditation. Deal with diverse service desk requests and technical assistance. Engage with 3rd party MSP support and escalations. Support business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring back up and recovery of core IT systems are healthy, regularly tested and meet the recovery demands of the business. Support technical operations training by sharing knowledge and encouraging knowledge transfer within the team. Respond to system alerts, including out of hours, to ensure the infrastructure is healthy, stable, and secure. Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the firm, which may include occasional evening work and travel. Where needed, support communications to the wider business on behalf of the IT Team.
