Head of Fellowship and Awardee Engagement The Royal Academy of Engineering is seeking an exceptional leader to join our Fellowship and Governance team as Head of Fellowship and Awardee Engagement. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Academy’s Fellowship and Awards Services function—shaping strategies that strengthen engagement with our distinguished Fellows, delivering prestigious prizes and medals, and growing the Awardee Excellence Community. Your work will ensure our recognition and engagement activities reflect the Academy’s values and strategic priorities. You will shape and implement the Fellowship engagement strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders, oversee nominations and elections with robust governance, and provide input to flagship events such as Fellows’ Day and the New Fellows’ Dinner. You will take responsibility for the Academy’s prestigious prizes and medals portfolio, ensuring timely delivery, strategic alignment, and maximum visibility. This includes managing award presentations and liaising with winners for the annual Awards Dinner, as well as working with internal and external partners to enhance the profile of our awards and secure new funding opportunities. A key part of your role will be driving the growth of the Awardee Excellence Community, creating meaningful opportunities for engagement and contribution to Academy programmes. You will manage budgets and resources effectively, lead high‑performing teams, and embed best practice in equity, diversity, and inclusion across all activities. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy. Who are we?
