Team Manager – Biomedical Scientist Band 7 Applications are invited from suitably experienced and motivated individuals to fill the role of Team Manager in this busy and well‑equipped laboratory. The Royal Infirmary Edinburgh: Department of Laboratory Medicine – Microbiology (Infection Science). Microbiology is provided on two sites within Edinburgh/West Lothian with a combined workload of over 500,000 specimens annually. The successful candidate will work closely with a group of other Team Managers. Requirements: HCPC registered. Educated to Masters Level (or equivalent). Significant, current experience working in a diagnostic Microbiology laboratory at Band 6 level or above. Responsibilities: Support strong leadership qualities, organisational and training skills to contribute to the overall management of the NHS Lothian Microbiology service. Be heavily involved in the day‑to‑day running of the lab and training. Maintain the department’s ISO 15189 accreditation. Participate in the department’s out‑of‑hours rota.
