Overview As an ECT, you will receive a structured induction programme, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to ensure you thrive in your teaching journey. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum. Set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge all pupils. Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to support their learning. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupils' development and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, training, and wider school activities. Engage fully with the school's ECT induction programme and mentoring support. Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management. Person Specification Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completion Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum. A passion for teaching and commitment to high standards of learning and achievement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reflective practice and a willingness to learn and develop. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
