Freelance Senior Consultant (Target Operating Models) Start: Mid-DecemberLength: 3-4 month contractDay rate: £780 per dayIR35: Inside IR35 (Umbrella only, not Sole Trader or Limited Company)Location: Farringdon, LondonWork pattern: Mostly remote, 1 day per week on-site + occasional UK client travelSchedule: Full-time equivalent | Mon-Fri About the role A large, complex service-led organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant to support the design and delivery of a Target Operating Model (TOM) for a major transformation programme. You’ll bring senior‑level consulting expertise, shape operating model structures, and ensure the organisation can scale effectively within a regulated environment. This is a strategic, hands‑on delivery role that requires strong analytical thinking, excellent stakeholder engagement, and experience working within IR35 for large, public‑facing organisations. What you’ll do Lead design and refinement of Target Operating Models Translate business requirements into clear operating structures and delivery frameworks Work closely with internal teams across Strategy, Ops, People, and Technology Support implementation planning, governance and transformation delivery Analyse risks, gaps and dependencies across functions Provide senior‑level consulting expertise to guide decision‑makingSupport documentation, process mapping and stakeholder communication Ensure alignment across cross‑functional and regulated environments Essential Proven experience delivering Target Operating Model (TOM) work Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant level Strong background in large‑scale transformation programmes Skilled in stakeholder management, analysis and structured problem‑solving Comfortable operating inside IR35 Ability to start mid‑December Nice to have Experience in utilities, energy, or regulated industries Background in major consulting environments (Big 4 / large consultancies/enterprise platforms) Rates depend on experience and client requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
