ABOUT THIS JOBAs a Global Category Specialist Tech & IT at NIQ you will support development and implementation of global category and subcategory strategies in collaboration with the Global Procurement Director Tech & IT CTO Direct reports and business stakeholders. This position will manage and lead global category initiatives and projects. You will lead contract negotiations, specification definition, monitor supplier performance, specification development and demand management support, development of innovation programs, manage supplier risks and conduct regular business reviews.Your Key ResponsibilitiesTech & IT Category Sourcing PlanSupport in analysis of supply market, understanding product/services being purchased within category, internal demand/specification and internal best practicesIdentify and analyze strategic sourcing options under the guidance of the Global Category DirectorRun and support tender process including seeking approvals from Global Category Director, SVP Global Procurement and other internal stakeholders as requiredChallenge and provide options on current working practices, specifications and demands for categoryHarmonize specification(s) with business stakeholders to standardize demandContract DevelopmentCreate negotiation plan and support Global Category Director with supplier negotiationsEnsure adherence to signing authoritiesCommunicate contracts to relevant stakeholdersSupplier DevelopmentManage relationship with preferred suppliersSupport Global Category Director with regular performance reviews of preferred suppliersSupport actions on continuous improvement plan with preferred suppliersSupport development of alternative suppliersSupport development and implementation of contract KPIsContract Lifecycle ManagementLead contract drafting reviews, proactive contract renewals, ensure contracts are updated in the systemConduct supplier compliance reviews (e.g., use of supplier within sites, payment terms in the system)Your QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in Technical Business Administration or related subjects or relevant work experienceExperience: 5 years of experience in Global procurement role with a focus on Tech & IT CategoryTechnical Skills: Understanding of technologies and solutions, key sourcing processes and tools, contractual and legal aspectsCommunication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively.Stakeholder Management: Experience in internal and external stakeholder relations management.A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUHighly motivated self-directed pro‑active & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines or an agile environmentAbility to analyze and interpret information in a challenging and insightful manner.Unflagging attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of the informationResourceful inquisitive and excited about innovative technologiesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientationStrong and articulate verbal and written communication skills.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office ProductsOur BenefitsFlexible working environmentVolunteer time offLinkedIn LearningEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)About NIQNIQ is the world’s leading consumer intelligence company delivering the most complete understanding of consumer buying behavior and revealing new pathways to 2023 NIQ combined with GfK bringing together the two industry leaders with unparalleled global reach.
