Role Computershare are currently looking to recruit a Senior IAM Developer to join Global Development Engineering within Computershare Technology Services. This is a hybrid position primarily based in our Edinburgh office, located in St Andrews Square. You’ll work within an agile cross‑functional team of engineers and will support the IAM Lead in shaping the team. A key part of your role will be to coach junior engineers and ensure engineering best practice is being followed, whilst striving for engineering excellence and continually improving the SDLC. Key Responsibilities Apply technical knowledge and expertise to design, build, test and deploy changes to applications and underlying frameworks to deliver business value, meet stakeholder expectations and avoid creating technical debt. Contribute to development of standards, policies and organisational structure so that others can work independently and collaboratively within your team and with key stakeholders. Coach and share knowledge with junior colleagues, guiding them and enabling them to contribute to the team’s objectives. Ensure the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team – through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others – to ensure that your team delivers high‑quality, maintainable software which adheres to internal standards and policies. Drive the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers to minimise their impact on the team’s delivery and/or supported products. Required Skills & Experience Technical Leadership – provide deep technical expertise in JavaScript, Git, cloud computing and define good practices in coding and SDLC standards. Architecture – strong understanding of SaaS architectures, specifically in the Azure stack. DevOps – experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, version control and branching strategies. Engineering Best Practice – experience of improving the end‑to‑end SDLC and ensuring best practice is understood and implemented by the team. Experience leading data teams, including coaching of junior engineers to high performance. Agile Development – demonstrate experience in working with teams that deliver software using Agile methodologies, ensuring agility and responsiveness in our data endeavours.
