OverviewCONFERENCE & EVENTS LEAD, LONDON. We’re seeking a Conference and Events Lead to join our Operations team at our 22 Bishopsgate property in London. The Conference and Events Lead will report directly to the Conference and Events Supervisor. What You’ll Do Assist with closing up the venue and conducting quality inspections throughout the building including conference and breakout rooms. Log faults or repairs noted during quality checks on the maintenance fault database. Monitor the maintenance database and ensure all maintenance issues are addressed through effective communication with the central facilities team. Carry out minor maintenance tasks, maintaining high standards of upkeep through delegation and personal input. Supervise external building contractors in and out of the building, ensure signing-in procedures are followed, and monitor their work and activities. Schedule, monitor, and follow up on external contractor visits; report issues and feedback to the GM. With the GM, schedule, monitor, and coordinate preventative maintenance activities across Sancroft building and facilities. Update the Housekeeping/Facilities SOP manual and train relevant personnel. Facilities Monitor recycling and waste removal in the building (cardboard, plastic, furniture, and other equipment). Client Care Proactively ensure the transition of client events from booking to event day runs efficiently and smoothly. Collaborate with Ops to manage client events, identifying potential room setup and operational challenges in advance. Respond to and address client comments on Facilities. Inventory and order stock of client stationery used in training rooms (e.g., delegate pads, pencils, sweets, flipchart pads). Personnel Supervise daily tasks of the housekeeping/facilities team and ensure the venue is prepared for the next day. Undertake twice-yearly appraisals. Oversee the team’s weekly timesheets for submission. Conduct weekly meetings with the housekeeping/facilities team to discuss customer satisfaction results, special requirements, HR updates, and weekly operating issues. Security Oversee building security, ensuring procedures are in place and followed, including in areas such as access control and deliveries/collections. Manage main and master key boxes, ensuring tagging is up to date. Housekeeping Assist with servicing of rooms during lunch breaks, replenishing supplies, and tidying up for the afternoon. Implement and manage a rota/work schedule for the team to achieve high standards. Health & Safety Represent Ops as a health & safety officer/fire officer, ensuring mandatory checks, fire bell tests, and fire drills are carried out per safety regulations. Participate in monthly health & safety meetings and assist with updating H&S documentation. Be part of semi-annual fire drills for day staff and ensure participation. What We Look For Good written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of Audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting. Good organisational skills and customer service. Strong eye for detail and ability to work as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
