Union Café Student Worker – $10.00/hour & free meal with every shift Union Café employees will perform guest service and food preparation duties. The Union opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 11:00 p.m. (midnight on weekends). The Union Café is busiest during dinner hours and throughout the weekend. Employees are expected to work during at least one of our critical times (lunch, late night, or weekends). Working Hours & Schedule We will work with your schedule, earliest shift 6 a.m., closing shifts end at 10:30 p.m. Required to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week. Responsibilities Provide quality food and service to all customers. Assist management team in stocking, cleaning, and food preparation. Interact with customers and other team members with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Keep all stations/areas stocked and clean. Aid coworkers at other stations as much as possible if your station/area is slow. Maintain consistent & reliable attendance. Cleaning equipment and facilities as directed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Positive attitude, self‑motivated, flexible, and able to take direction. Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to work well with others, independently, with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 30 lbs using proper lifting technique and perform prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and walking on hard surfaces. Experience in food service, catering, or retail is helpful but not required. Uniform: jeans, black shirt, closed toe shoes with socks, and hat with name‑tag. Hair must be tied back if over shoulder.
