We're looking for a Young Scrutineer to work alongside our Adult Scrutineer and ensure that the voices and experiences of children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. What You'll Do Work with the Adult Scrutineer to check and challenge how well safeguarding partners are listening to and acting on the voices of children. Attend partnership meetings and share your views to make sure priorities reflect what matters to young people. Review policies and projects to ensure the voice of the child is central. Help write reports and present findings from your work. Engage with children and young people across LLR to gather their views and share them with decision-makers. About You Be between 16-18 years of age Lives, studies, or works in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland Confident communicator who can share ideas in meetings and presentations Good listener who values other young people's views Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet) Able to manage your time and meet deadlines with support Experience representing young people (e.g., school council, youth forums) is helpful but not essential Why Apply?
