home_work On-site Posted 2 days ago Production & Operations Manager – Position Description About the Role We’re looking for a dynamic Production and Operations Manager to keep the daily operations of SCS Australia running smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This is a hands‑on leadership position where you’ll oversee workflow, production coordination, supplier relationships, reporting, and team performance. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll ensure our projects run on time, our processes stay tight, and our teams stay aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Operations & Workflow Management Oversee day‑to‑day operations across sales, logistics, administration, and assembly. Manage project workflow and communication using Monday.com to keep tasks on schedule. Coordinate container orders, modifications, and deliveries with suppliers and logistics partners. Maintain accurate information across the CRM and project databases. Provide the GM with weekly operational updates and performance reports. Oversee purchasing of materials, equipment, and stock for container and modification projects. Maintain accurate inventory records, track pricing, and evaluate supplier performance. Conduct regular stocktakes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure cost control. Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable lead times. Support and supervise operations and admin staff in their day‑to‑day roles. Manage rosters, leave, training, and performance reviews in partnership with the GM. Build a positive, accountable workplace culture with strong communication and financial awareness. Collaborate with the sales team to align operational capacity with customer commitments. Prepare regular operational, performance, and financial reports for management. Identify opportunities to streamline systems, improve efficiencies, and reduce costs. Track key operational metrics such as delivery timelines, accuracy, and profitability. Champion continuous improvement across all operational processes. About You (Ideal Candidate) You’re someone who thrives on organisation, efficiency, and problem‑solving. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and enjoy improving processes. You’re confident with systems, experienced in operations, and ready to step into a role where your leadership drives real results. Skills & Experience 3–5 years’ experience in operations, production, or business management — ideally within logistics, construction, or modular building. Strong financial skills, including experience using Xero. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail. Proficient with tools like Monday.com, CRM/ERP systems, and general business software. Self-starter who follows through and delivers. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field. NSW White Card (preferred but not essential). Performance Goals Accurate and timely operational and financial reporting. Smooth coordination across all departments. Strong supplier and customer account management.
