Job DescriptionStaff Nurse – Outpatient (Bank) at Exeter Hospital. This position is on a bank/ad‑hoc rota, including weekend work, with a pay rate of up to £21.00 per hour, depending on experience.Main duties of the jobDeliver excellent patient care.Manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced out‑patient environment.Take part in a wide range of procedures, manage clinics and use extensive clinical skills to aid recovery.Respond instinctively to patients’ and families’ needs, offering comfort and reassurance.Collaborate with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity of care.Spend time building rapport with patients to enhance their experience.BenefitsOur benefits package includes holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, access to our Pension Scheme and a discounted gym membership (£25.00 per month). Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the business and your availability.About usNuffield Health Exeter Hospital is a modern facility located next to the RD&E Hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital houses two theatres, a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre, an endoscopy suite, an inpatient area with 21 beds, a day‑case ward with 12 beds, and a busy out‑patient department. Services include elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology (including invasive procedures), general surgery, plastic and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. We also operate a MAKO robotic system for joint replacement surgery.Person SpecificationQualificationsRegistered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and possess the relevant qualifications.ExperiencePost‑registration experience and a team‑player attitude are required.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
