Job Description Our established client is a multi-disciplined company providing various safety solutions including Asbestos, Fire, and Health & Safety to a diverse range of clients and contracts across the UK. The company is now seeking the services of an experienced, versatile and focused Fire Risk Assessor based in and around the Lancaster area. The ideal applicant will be well‑versed in undertaking fire risk assessments on a range of industrial, commercial and residential sites and will hold a relevant qualification such as the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent. Consideration will be given to applications from Morecambe, Fleetwood, Preston, Bentham and the surrounding areas. Qualifications & Experience The applicant must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion. Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be beneficial but not essential. Must have an in‑depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments. Must have previous practical experience working within this role and within other sectors and must be well versed with the Health & Safety procedures. Must come from a good educational background and must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Duties within the role Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors – commercial, industrial and residential. Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc. Delivering presentations and training as and when required. Delivering consultancy services in regard to Fire safety/risk. Getting involved with the Health & Safety pertaining to fire risk assessments. Producing and writing comprehensive and accurate reports. Addressing any issues effectively and appropriately. Liaising with clients and colleagues of all professional levels. Must be flexible with regards to travelling. The successful candidate will have considerable knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on a range of site/contract types as well as a strong work ethic.
