Job DescriptionJoin Burns & McDonnell as an Environmental Manager in Birmingham, UK. The successful candidate will provide on-site field monitoring and project-level advice to ensure construction compliance with national environmental legislation and regulations.The key responsibilities of this role include:Conducting on-site field monitoring to ensure continued compliance with environmental legislative and regulatory requirementsDeveloping, reviewing, and implementing the Environmental Management System, including ISO 14001 certificationAdvising and supporting the obtaining of environmental licenses, permits, and consentsCollaborating with subcontractors and supply chain to deliver best-value solutions aligned with the company's Environmental and Sustainability strategyConducting environmental incident investigations and preparing communications, including bulletins, alerts, and trainingThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 7 years of experience in an environmental position, and experience in a high-compliance construction industry.Desirable skills and qualifications include:Chartered or working towards chartership of a relevant professional institutionExperience with environmental management systems, auditing, and inspectionExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to remain calm and focused under pressureGood interpersonal skills and clear communication #J-18808-Ljbffr
