Data Governance – Lineage, Firmwide CDO Vice PresidentThis position will play a critical role in the success of the Firm’s Data Strategy program. As a Vice President on the Data Governance team within the firmwide CDO, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define governance and tooling requirements and building out the Firmwide Data Lineage framework.The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making.Job ResponsibilitiesPartners with CDO office to drive adoption and roll-out of firmwide Data Lineage framework by supporting the documentation of data lineage for critical data flowsDevelop and promote best practices in metadata management, data lineage, and data quality controlsProvides advisory services on specific complex lineage initiatives through focused business and technical architecture analysisCollaborate with key stakeholders to identify tactical and strategic resolution paths including ownership and timeframes for completionDevelop strong partnerships with Technology, the Controls Organization, Product/Data Owners, Executives/Business Leads, Compliance, Legal, and other stakeholdersFacilitate Working Groups and Workshops to drive firmwide strategies, address challenges and manage risks and issuesMonitor, measure and report on data lineage governance metrics and complianceActively support the broader Data Governance team’s strategic initiatives and goalsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills8+ years of industry experience with a strong data, analytics or product backgroundStrong understanding of data governance, data lineage, data publishing and metadata management concepts and methodologiesHands on experience with Data Lineage including Critical Data Element identification, metadata capture and tracing CDEs across the data lifecycleExperience with industry standard tools like Collibra, Alteryx or DatabricksExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsExcellent interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to resolve conflict, create consensus, and to make effective decisions as a teamPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsExperience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture is preferredExperience in data quality within a large financial institutionBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related fieldFamiliarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data quality and data governanceJ.P.
