These positions include both whole‑class support and 1:1 support for students with additional needs. What We Are Looking For A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare/teaching assistant qualification is preferred, but we will also consider candidates with strong relevant experience working with children or young people. Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable ASD / Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ADHD / ADD SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties) SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties – e.g. Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia) SLCN (Speech, Language & Communication Needs) HI (Hearing Impairment) VI (Visual Impairment) BSL (British Sign Language) Global Developmental Delay (GDD) Challenging behaviour / behaviour mentoring Emotional regulation support Physical disabilities / medical needs Personal care / moving & handling / hoist training Working with non‑verbal students or those using alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, AAC) If you have worked as a tutor, support worker, nursery practitioner, sports coach, youth worker or carer, your experience may also be highly relevant.
