Join us as a Senior Digital Product Development Manager where you'll be primarily responsible for helping shape the organisation’s transformation agenda by driving innovation-centric thinking, reframing current approaches, and defining how new propositions should be positioned in the market. You will work closely with marketing and technology to explore future tech-stack potential, deliver the innovation roadmap, and ensure new ideas land effectively with customers. To be successful as a Senior Digital Product Development Manager, you should have experience with: Experience in new product developmentAbility to drive new business opportunitiesGreat commercial acumenExperience collaborating effectively with technology teamsDeep industry awareness and solid understanding of market dynamics Some other highly valued skills may include: Experience developing and implementing payment solutionsExperience in large-scale transformation and digital ecosystems You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role can be based in either London or Northampton. Purpose of the role To manage and drive the innovation strategy to meet customer needs and ensure the bank's long-term success and competitive edge. Accountabilities Execution of market research to understand customer needs,pain points, andemerging trends to support the analysis of profitability, market size and positioning for new products compared to existing offerings, and to identify opportunities for diversification to gain a competitive advantage. Collaboration with stakeholders across departments and teams includingmarketing,sales,technology, engineers, designers etc to generate innovative and feasible product ideas and prototypes for testing aligned with customer needs and strategic goals. Development of concepts and specifications which define features,functionalities,target market, user interface, technical specificationsand potential revenue models of new products. Evaluation of the technical feasibility,legal compliance,and potential risks associated with the development and launch of the new product. Monitoring of market trends and analysis feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes,user testing sessions,and beta programs to identify areas for improvement to refine the product before launch. Management of comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products that establish rollout timelines,marketing strategies,training initiatives and communication channels to promote the launch new products effectively. Monitoring of key metrics such as adoption rates,usage patterns,customer satisfaction,and revenue generation to assess the product's performance against set goals. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and elevate breaches of policies/procedures.. If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes. They may also lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions.. Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions. Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes. Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
