We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Options Manager to lead our Housing Options service, fulfilling statutory homelessness duties on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.The RoleThis is a pivotal role where you’ll ensure the effective prevention, assessment, and relief of homelessness, while driving continuous improvement and leading a dynamic, customer-focused team.You will :Provide housing and homelessness advice to a diverse range of customers, including those with complex needs and vulnerabilities.Oversee complex cases, ensuring timely and effective resolutions, including arranging emergency accommodation when required.Lead strategies to prevent homelessness through early intervention and strong partnership working.Manage the delivery of the homelessness contract, meeting all statutory obligations and performance targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with Bromsgrove District Council, partner agencies, and support services, representing bdht at local and national forums.About YouExperienced in a customer-facing role with a solid understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation.Knowledgeable about safeguarding and supporting vulnerable customers, with a commitment to equality and diversity.Skilled in communication and negotiation, able to manage complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.Experienced in partnership working and confident in building collaborative relationships.Leadership experience in housing options or homelessness services would be an advantage.What we can offer in return32 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHoliday purchase scheme – buy up to an additional 5 days holiday per yearHoliday buy back scheme – bdht will buy up to 10 days holiday back from staffTeam budget every year to enjoy an afternoon out as a teamElectric vehicle leasing scheme through Octopus EnergyPension scheme – defined contributions pension administered by the Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS)Life insurance is available to members of the pension schemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeMental Health First AidersHealthcare Cash Back Scheme – HealthshieldRetail discounts schemeLong Service Awards (given at 1 year, 5 years and in increments of 5 years following this)Reimbursement for professional subscription feesCorporate Sponsorship opportunitiesReimbursement for HRT pre-paid certificatesReimbursement for annual flu jabFree parking and refreshmentsMonthly staff compliments raffleWellbeing calendar of events throughout the yearBdht reserves the right to close vacancies before the stated closing date where the volume of applications is extremely high. #J-18808-Ljbffr
