OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Manager to join a successful, highly performing team in Water Production. Working in a high-profile role responsible for the day-to-day operation of Europe’s largest Water Production Treatment works. The role involves the direct line management of various Operational site-based teams, who are responsible for the Operation and Monitoring of all processes on site.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of Thames Water's largest Production Plant, including direct and indirect people performance management and coaching.Direct line management of other managers and highly experienced Process Control Engineers.Process management.Extensive site production planning with a key focus on water production, ensuring the site remains compliant with several regulatory outputs, including Water Quality compliance, environmental permitting and COMAH compliance as the Controller of the Premises of a large COMAH site.Responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety related to the operation of the site, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Supporting and facilitating other teams responsible for delivering service to customers.Maintain and contribute to a succession plan as part of the wider Water Production team.Proactive administration of the recruitment process to maintain the resource level in the team.Base Location & Working PatternBase Location: Ashford Common, Surrey - TW15 1RUWorking Pattern: 36 Hours Monday- FridayWhat you should bring to the roleTo thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:Have previous knowledge and experience working in a clean/waste water treatment process environment.Have demonstrable management experience of front-line operational teams in a similar environment.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and demonstrable ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload under pressure.You will be confident in your ability to present key findings and liaise with managers of all levels.Having a strong background in process management with excellent skills in operations, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement, and customer focus is essential.Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a full UK driver’s Licence.What’s in it for you?Offering a salary up to 60,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 days with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.Personal Medical Assessments – Open to all once a year.Performance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.Generous Pension Scheme through AON.Generous Paternity Leave, including 4 weeks paid and an optional 2 weeks unpaid.Enhanced Maternity Leave, 26 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half payWider benefits scheme including our benefits hub, which is packed full of offers and information to save you money and support your wellbeing.Who are we?We’re the UK’s largest water and wastewater company, with more than 16 million customers relying on us every day to supply water for their taps and toilets.
