Graduate Instrumentation Engineer – 12-Month Fixed Term Location: Basingstoke, UK Our client is offering an exciting 12-month opportunity for a recent graduate—either without industry experience or with some early career exposure—to join their Instrumentation team and gain hands‑on engineering experience. This role is ideal for candidates who show strong aptitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. About the Role You will support Instrumentation & Automation (I& A) engineering activities across a range of project phases, from feasibility studies and FEED through to EPC support and decommissioning. Working closely with experienced engineers, you’ll contribute to technical deliverables, calculations, specifications, and design support for major industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare and check technical calculations, datasheets, philosophies, and specifications for instrumentation and control systems. Support design work such as cable routing, layout development, P&ID reviews, and C&E matrices. Assist with technical bid evaluations and coordination with other engineering disciplines. Contribute to control system designs while receiving coaching and development. Participate in short site visits to support project activities. Maintain high safety, environmental, and quality standards. Bring innovation, curiosity, and a continuous‑improvement mindset. What We’re Looking For Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (professional accreditation beneficial). Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills. A proactive, “can‑do” attitude with flexibility and enthusiasm. Any exposure to instrumentation, automation, process engineering, or project environments is advantageous but not essential. This is an excellent chance to begin your engineering career, build real project experience, and develop professionally within a supportive team. For further information about this position please apply.
