We call this 'Our Nottinghamshire Approach'. Nottinghamshire’s Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessment Service is a county wide service with responsibility for carrying out the statutory functions for Education Health Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) and maintaining all Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).We are currently looking to recruit several Assistant EHC Practitioners to the team, these roles support our EHC assessment and planning process, as well as our district based teams who support Nottinghamshire’s children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities who have an EHCP. Successful applicants will be highly motivated practitioners with the ability to work under pressure. As a team player, you will need to demonstrate your enthusiasm and person-centred approach to secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND.ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding the statutory EHC needs assessment process, providing accurate and impartial information.Support families and professionals by explaining EHC processes, timelines and expectations.Collaborate with families, education settings and multi-agency professionals to ensure support and provision meet individual needs and statutory requirements.Ensure all EHC needs assessments are completed within statutory timescales and adhere to legal requirements.Gather, process, and update case information in relevant databases.
