SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Knowle, Bristol Full Time Temp-to-Perm Start Date: January 2026 Salary: up to £20,397 per annum (dependant on experience) About the Role Are you looking to be an integral part of children s learning development or considering a career in SEN education? We are looking for a dedicated, passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive Primary school in Knowle, Bristol. You would be part of a collaborative team supporting pupils with learning difficulties and SEN, ensuring every child succeeds. About the School This school believes in creating a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish academically and socially. Your role will involve providing each child with a fantastic, inspiring and inclusive education across KS1 KS2, that celebrates and recognises their individuality. Key Responsibilities Support children with SEN, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and SLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) eg ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) Tailor, differentiate and accommodate work supporting pupils with SEN access classwork and set tasks. Work collaboratively with staff to support learning development and progress of pupils with SEN. Person Specification Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools Previous experience supporting children/young people with SEN e.g. ASC, ADHD. Knowledge and understanding of strategies and tools for supporting SEN (Makaton, AAC, PECS) A genuine passion for education and helping people SEN children thrive What s on Offer Competitive salary (Inner London pay scales).
