responsible for identifying, creating and developing new opportunities for the Business and maturing them until the point that the Business can take a pursue/stop decision.You will be responsible for creating the appropriate business winning environment for a through your understanding of market/markets, market planning and positioning, developing opportunities and pursuing captures/campaigns.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development:Throughout the Business Winning lifecycle the role is responsible for working with stakeholders to develop and implement strategy/marketing plans (e.g., country plans)Acting upon market analysis and intelligence data to influence and plan P&T investmentLeading understanding and shaping the customer(s) requirement, defining opportunity timeline and acting as customer advocate during solution developmentDeveloping a clear understanding of and communicating the customer(s) procurement process and identifying Success Factors & Hot Buttons that underpin the win strategyManaging, developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, key influencers, governments, local consultants (where used) and internal stakeholdersUnderstanding customer organisations, culture, processes, constraints and working practices and relating these back into the businessWorking closely with Capture/Project teams to share and focus key messages supporting customer engagement where appropriate to specific captures or projects and understand current customer issues/concernsAs leader of BD activity :Identify, create & develop new business opportunities and generate appropriate business case(s) to support Phase review, pursue/stop decisions until Capture Team formationGenerate opportunities that support Corporate/Business IBP objectives resulting in a balanced portfolio of opportunities, products and marketsProvide support to pan-Company opportunities and alignment of Business IBP to strategic opportunitiesAs a Capture Team member :Provide customer views and expectations on price as part of defining the Price to Win derivationAct as a major contributor to communications plan and (typically leader of) the customer/stakeholder identification and contact plan elements of the Capture PlanLead the customer and local market intelligence gathering and act as the main conduit for intelligence on customer requirements, ensuring the capture and bid/proposal teams are kept up to dateDrive the development of the Executive Summary for the capturePlay a significant role in achieving deal closure, working closely with the Capture Leader and CommercialCapture :Direct all aspects of the large and/or less complex and strategically important captures and secure the order in line with the specified terms and margin target for a specific opportunityDirect development and implementation of the Capture Plan encompassing Win Strategy and Price to WinDevelop the Business Case for continuing to pursue and bidding the Opportunity including Capture budgetDirect the capture team and lead a high performing capture team to develop the solution(s) and deliver high quality bid/proposal(s)Identify requirements for Capture team members, formally appoint them and ensure alignment of individuals’ campaign objectives with their PDRLead customer requirement influencing strategy, interpretation and solution option generation including make/buy and partnering/teaming strategyLead stakeholder management at all appropriate levels across multiple organisations and keep the Business Leadership Team informed and engagedDefine and lead customer relationship management strategy and engage senior Company executives in contact activityDevelop and own the Price to Win, driving the solution to meet itEnsure smooth hand-over to Project Manager for delivery phaseLead Black Hat & Blue Team ReviewsEngage internal stakeholders and secure support, buy-in and bid approvals for the solution(s)Support the development and deployment of functional learning and developmentHealth & Safety (Employee)Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible mannerReport all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to or observes in the correct mannerWhen required or directed, participate in any health and
