A Primary Teacher will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for children in Years 1 and 2, ensuring that they develop essential skills, knowledge, and confidence as they progress through their primary education. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Foundation subjects. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to participate actively in their learning. Assess student progress and attainment using a variety of assessment methods, providing timely feedback and support to help students achieve their learning goals. Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, communicating effectively and collaborating to support students' educational and personal development. Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all children can access the curriculum and make progress. Implement school policies and procedures effectively, including those related to behaviour management, safeguarding, and health and safety. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events and initiatives to contribute to the wider life of the school community. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 students, preferably in a primary school setting, with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and pedagogy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality education that meets the diverse needs of every child. Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to teaching and school life.
