With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability, this business plays a key role in supplying high‑volume fresh products to a wide range of customers across London and the South East.About the Assistant Production Manager roleYou’ll be responsible for leading the nightshift operation across five production lines, overseeing a team of around 60 staff including Line Leaders, Packers, FLT Drivers, and Production & Warehouse Operatives. Reporting into the Dayshift Production Manager, you’ll ensure the production plan is delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.Key tasksManage the full nightshift production operationLead and support Line Leaders and wider production teamsEnsure production lines run efficiently without compromising qualityOversee training, performance, and discipline of night staffLiaise with Quality, Load Control, and Dispatch teamsMonitor product quality, crate counts, and post‑production activitiesPrepare daily paperwork and support continuous improvementCarry out weekly production meetings with Line LeadersAbout youMinimum 4 years’ experience in food manufacturing1–2 years in a supervisory or management roleStrong leadership and communication skillsHands‑on, organised, and methodicalPassionate about quality and continuous improvementComfortable working night shiftsMore detailsThe Assistant Production Manager – Nightshift (ref:8978) job is paying £50,000 per annum.The package includes 30 days (including bank holidays). Around 4–5 days are allocated during the Christmas closure.
