Location: Guildford/Dorking Job Title Occupational Health Technician Contract Type Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Salary £26,325 per annum, with potential up to £33,000 including overtime. Role Overview As an Occupational Health Technician, you’ll be part of a team that helps organisations look after the health and wellbeing of their employees. You'll drive a Mobile Testing Unit to client sites to deliver a variety of health assessments that support early detection of health issues and promote long-term wellbeing at work. Key Responsibilities Carry out health surveillance tests such as audiometry, skin prick allergy testing, vision screening, and venepuncture (full training provided). Prepare and maintain equipment to ensure smooth, safe operation. Identify results that need follow‑up and escalated to the clinical team. Support health promotion initiatives, such as wellness events or wellbeing campaigns. Help improve processes to keep services efficient, effective, and patient‑focused. Complete clinical paperwork and update health records accurately. Qualifications Degree in Sports Science, Physiology, Health & Exercise Science or a related field. Full clean UK driver’s licence, able to drive and park a mobile unit at home. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Hands‑on, motivated, and excited about improving health outcomes in the workplace. Desire to build a career with purpose and progression. Bonus: Experience as an EMT, Occupational Health Technician, or in nursing – not essential; full training provided. Additional Info Must have a full clean driver’s licence; special licence not required. Mobile units 3.5 tons; driver familiarisation training provided. All drivers required to undergo Drivers Medical. Overnight stays may be required; hotel and meal allowances paid. Work times vary by client needs; shift work between 11pm and 6am with higher rate. Core hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours × 5 days). Overtime typically travel time paid at higher rate.
