We are seeking to recruit to the manager post for the Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel. This is a sensitive, challenging and rewarding role. The post is hosted by Liverpool City Council on behalf of the Child Death Review Partners across Merseyside, and the Isle of Man. Merseyside partners include Wirral, Sefton, St Helens, and Knowsley Councils including Public Health as well as Cheshire and Merseyside ICB.The Role:* The role of the Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager (CDOP) will support the Child Death Review process outlined in Chapter 6 of Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2023. The purpose of the review is to identify matters relating to the death of a child that may be linked to public health or safety as well as looking at how future deaths may be prevented* The role of Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager (CDOP) is a sensitive, challenging and rewarding role* Your demonstrable knowledge as a Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager (CDOP) will include experience of multi-agency child protection and safeguarding and experience of working in a statutory setting, such as children’s social care, health, or the police* Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager (CDOP) requires experience of supervisory or management within a statutory organisation.* The successful Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager (CDOP) will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong leadership and presentation skills* The role of the Merseyside Child Death Overview Panel Manager is hosted by Liverpool City Council on behalf of the Child Death Review Partners across Merseyside, and the Isle of Man. Merseyside partners include Wirral, Sefton, St Helens, and Knowsley Councils including Public Health as well as Cheshire and Merseyside ICBThis is an agile post however Panel Meetings are held face to face.
