Position Summary We are looking for a Teleflex Surgical Account Manager to cover the North Region, which includes Cumbria, Durham, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, and Yorkshire (East Riding, North, West). The role blends medical sales with clinical engagement, targeting theatre‑based staff and procurement professionals. Principal Responsibilities Promote Teleflex products within your territory, managing the full sales process, local marketing, and customer engagement activities, including clinical support & education. Build strong relationships with theatre‑based staff—including surgeons, theatre nursing staff, and procurement professionals. Work in a challenging and stimulating environment, often alongside surgeons to advise on appropriate product use during procedures and collect feedback on product portfolio. Manage contracts, negotiate with procurement, and attend marketing and internal training events across the UK, with occasional overseas engagements. Education / Experience Requirements Strong academic background and capability to master high‑level scientific and clinical content. Qualifications demonstrating the ability to learn complex information and apply analytical and critical thinking are required. The role suits an individual who thrives on autonomy, with an aptitude for technical and clinically challenging products. Successful candidates should be self‑starting, eager to learn new skills, and comfortable working outside their comfort zone. Must be a strong team player, analytical, and possess solid IT literacy. Confidence in working with clinicians to position products in varied clinical scenarios is essential. Understanding of the current UK healthcare market is desirable; candidates must demonstrate experience working in a multi‑level setting and showing partnership with clients and customers. Past surgical sales experience is preferred, but transferable skills from other domains will also be considered. Applicants must be based on the territory. Specialized Skills / Other Requirements Ideal candidates are currently selling into the surgical environment or have experience working in theatre within the NHS. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work successfully with a diverse group of people and be a team player. Ability to multi‑task and navigate competing priorities. Independence and initiative. Continuous improvement and results orientation. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization. Good presentation skills. Excellent organizational, planning and decision‑making skills with strong attention to detail and follow‑through while maintaining focus on the big picture. Adaptability to change.
