Central North Leeds PCN is seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join our established and expanding pharmacy team. You will provide expert clinical leadership, shape pharmacy‑led services and contribute to high‑quality, patient‑centred care across our 5 general practices covering about 80,000 people. Job Responsibilities Provide expert medicines optimisation and safer prescribing support across PCN practices. Contribute to the delivery of the PCN DES, QOF and local enhanced services. Undertake patient‑facing clinical work, including long‑term condition management, structured medication reviews, specialist clinics and promotion of self‑care. Lead, supervise, mentor and support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within the network. Support service development, audit and innovation across the network. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate medicines optimisation across the wider health economy. Adapt to evolving national priorities in line with the GP contract and NHS Long Term Plan. Qualifications Professional knowledge acquired through a vocational masters degree in pharmacy (4 years) + 1 year pre‑registration training. Extensive knowledge of medicines optimisation (post‑graduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent). Holds an independent prescribing qualification. Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Experience & Competencies Experience and awareness of common acute and long‑term conditions seen in general practice. Demonstrated ability to integrate general practice with community and hospital pharmacy teams. Experience of partnership working and building relationships across diverse organisations. Experience of leading and managing staff, and supervising junior pharmacists. Analytical skills for interpreting complex prescribing information and managing risk. Personal Qualities & Attributes Commitment to reducing health inequalities and engaging all communities. Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and organise work flexibly. Leadership experience and personal accountability. Respect for policies and procedures including confidentiality, safeguarding and information governance.
