Position Overview Director – Aboriginal Health (Permanent Full-Time) About the Role Within the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) Strategy and Transformation Division, the Director Aboriginal Health provides strategic leadership and oversight of the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Aboriginal Health strategy for Aboriginal patients in the NMHS and linked regional and remote WA catchments. The Director represents NMHS on system-wide forums, provides key insights and analysis to support decision‑making on Aboriginal Health Strategy, and leads and directs the Aboriginal Health team to deliver a program of work aligned to NMHS's and system‑wide strategic priorities. Eligibility to Apply Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Additionally, you may be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre‑employment health assessment. Referees may be asked to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process. While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. If the successful applicant declines or vacates the advertised vacancy, the next most suitable applicant may also be selected. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
