Band 4 Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant Join to apply for the Band 4 Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant role at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant to work as part of the Occupational Therapy Team at Reaside Clinic. The successful applicant will join an already established Occupational Therapy Service, which aims to provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to our service users with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, creative and imaginative individual to adapt and deliver high quality Occupational Therapy provisions within a well‑established multidisciplinary team, making a significant difference to individuals’ lives. Applicants must demonstrate a genuine desire to work in mental health and commit to delivering the highest quality patient‑centred care to our service users. Reaside Clinic is a male medium secure service providing care for service users with challenging behaviours and a range of clinical presentations. You would be working with the Occupational Therapy team to deliver one‑to‑one interventions as well as group work, requiring practical and creative skills to promote independence and improve overall emotional wellbeing. Therapeutic interventions are supported by a well‑equipped environment that includes a gym, kitchen, education suite, art room, gardens, woodwork shop, library and group rooms. We have our own forensic community OT team and partnerships that support transitions out into the community. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist you will deliver therapeutic interventions that support recovery through promoting social inclusion, development of life skills and providing opportunities for recovery. You will have operational responsibility for the activity workers, with oversight from the clinical service manager.
