We are looking for a full‑time Activity Worker to join our team to deliver high‑quality activity provision to our patient group.The post will be based at Reaside Clinic, supporting service users at different stages in their journey in secure care services. This will include providing therapeutic activities on a daily basis and contributing to the activity programme within Reaside Clinic. We are looking for someone who is innovative and can think outside the box when working with service users who can present with complex needs and challenging behaviours.As an organisation, we are committed to living our trust values of compassion, inclusivity and commitment. You will also have access to learning and development opportunities.ResponsibilitiesOrganise a timetable of activity for groups and individuals on the ward.Motivate others to participate and engage, promoting inclusion and communication.Lead a varied activity programme tailored to the needs of our service users, including physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle.Work flexibly out of hours to ensure patients remain active across seven days.Use the excellent hospital facilities available to facilitate the role.We do not necessarily require clinical experience, but you need to be able to lead a varied activity programme tailored to the needs of our service users.Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
