Corporate Director Health and Adult Services Salary: £141,233 to £164,272 plus relocation support Location: Northallerton / Countywide / Hybrid Close Date: 14 December 2025 We are looking to appoint a new Corporate Director Health and Adult Service for North Yorkshire Council. North Yorkshire is England's largest county and a vibrant place to live and work. After nearly 12 years, our current Director, Richard Webb, has moved on to become Chief Executive of the City of York Council. We wish him well and look forward to working with him as we recruit a new Director to lead our next chapter. Our health and adult social care services are nationally recognised for their excellence, currently rated as the joint fourth highest‑performing authority in the country in the recent CQC inspection. Key responsibilities for the new director include: Expanding our highly regarded extra care programme Embedding our service redesign to create specialised county‑wide services, enhancing community‑based social care and strengthening professional practice Driving our new North Yorkshire Health collaborative to oversee £590m of investment in prevention and community services Rolling out five new Care and Support Hubs – a £60m investment for intermediate care and specialist dementia care Delivering the next stages of the prevention programme across public health and adult social care, including expanding our work with voluntary sector community anchors Developing services for people facing multiple disadvantage due to mental health, substance use and transient housing Ideal for a driven health and adult social care leader wanting to step up to the leadership challenge.
