Senior Mechanical Engineer – Company Location: East Grinstead, United Kingdom Pay Salary £55,000-65,000 depending on experience + attractive benefits packageProvided by Nicola Gardiner Executive Search. Responsibilities: Providing technical leadership within a small, mixed‑discipline project design team to produce quality design solutions in line with cost, time, and quality requirements CAD modelling of parts and assemblies Lead concept design and development of both new products and improvements to existing products Ensure that products comply with Standards and customer requirements Responsibility for design approval and final drawing release within SolidWorks PDM Discuss requirements with suppliers and select suitable OEM parts Investigate problems, identify root cause, and implement solutions Transfer new and updated designs into Production Provide support to other teams within the company, including Production and Service departments Requirements: 5-10 years’ practical experience within mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment Experience of leading small engineering projects Experience in New Product Development (design, build, test, release) Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD design using weldments and sheet metal Experience with using engineering sciences / calculations / analysis as part of product design Working in a project‑oriented environment Have a flair for innovation, new concept designs and a passion for mechanical engineering Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders to understand diverse and complex requirements Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Engineering and Design Industries: Industrial Machinery Manufacturing and Measuring and Control Instrument Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
