OverviewHigher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA - Level 4) - Specialist SEMH/SEND ProvisionLocation: GreenwichSalary: 120 - 140 per dayContract: Full-time, Long term, Term-timeStart Date: ASAPRemedy Education is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH/SEND provision in the Greenwich area. This provision supports pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. With a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach, the school provides personalised education for children and young people aged 7-19.The RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the outreach team. In this role, you will support pupils\' learning both in school and in off-site settings, including residential homes or remote learning when required. You will deliver tailored sessions based on individual learning plans and work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent support and care.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver small group and one-to-one support sessions in line with learning objectivesSupport pupils both in school and off-site, adapting approaches to meet individual needsUse trauma-informed strategies to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviourAssist with planning, preparation of learning materials, and monitoring of pupil progressMaintain effective communication with the teaching team, parents, and carersPromote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all pupils is prioritisedIdeal Candidate ProfileHLTA qualification (Level 4) or equivalent experiencePrevious experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar educational roleExperience supporting pupils with SEMH and/or ASC needsStrong understanding of child development and the primary/secondary curriculumSkilled in behaviour management and therapeutic approachesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitted to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfareWhy Join This Provision?Be part of a supportive and welcoming staff teamAccess to ongoing training and professional developmentA rewarding role where you\'ll make a meaningful impactOpportunities to contribute to holistic, therapeutic educationHow to ApplyTo apply, please submit your CV via this advert.
