The role As a Project Procurement Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to influence procurement strategies that support national security while developing your expertise in a dynamic, high‑profile environment. Day‑to‑day, you’ll be part of a newly formed team delivering critical supply chain solutions for submarine programmes. You’ll manage sourcing, tendering, and supplier performance to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality targets. Establish project requirements and design supply chains to meet them Manage sourcing and tendering processes in line with project deliverables Lead negotiations to secure cost‑effective supply solutions Assure supplier performance against time, cost, and quality requirements Deliver cost reductions and savings in line with business targets This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. Essential experience of the Project Procurement Specialist Strong supply chain and contract management expertise Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills Ability to analyse markets and manage complex business requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate IT systems Self‑motivated with a flexible, adaptable approach Qualifications for the Project Procurement Specialist Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience (preferred) CIPS or equivalent professional qualification (advantageous) Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
